This part of Hochatown, especially around the Lost Creek area, has a newer cabin community feel where everything still looks fresh and thoughtfully laid out, with a mix of weekend travelers and vacation homeowners coming in to unwind. You’ll be surrounded by tall pines and quiet stretches of road, but you’re still just a short drive from popular spots like breweries, local restaurants, and trailheads near Beavers Bend State Park. It’s a laid-back pocket of town where mornings are quiet, evenings are slow, and most people are here for the same reason—relaxing, enjoying nature, and spending time together.

Getting around Hochatown is pretty straightforward, but you’ll want to have a car since there isn’t any real public transportation in the area. Most cabins, restaurants, and attractions are a short drive apart, and parking is usually easy whether you’re heading to a trail, grabbing dinner, or visiting the lake. Rideshare options can be limited or inconsistent, especially later in the evening, so it’s best to plan on driving if you’re heading out. Once you’re back at the cabin, though, everything slows down and you can settle in without needing to go anywhere else.

😎 What’s Broken Bow, OK all about?
Broken Bow feels like one of those places people stumble into for a weekend and end up talking about for months. It’s a mix of pine forests, clear lakes, and a growing little pocket of cabins, breweries, and local spots that keep things interesting without feeling overbuilt. You’ll notice how everything slows down here—mornings are quiet with fog rolling through the trees, and evenings usually revolve around good food, a drink, and time outside. It’s not flashy, but that’s kind of the appeal—people come here to unplug, spend time together, and enjoy the outdoors at their own pace.

💡 Other things to note
✓ Being in a newer development, you may notice some nearby cabins still being built from time to time
✓ Landscaping is still growing in, so the setting feels more open in certain spots than older wooded areas
✓ Cell service can be spotty in Hochatown, but WiFi is available for staying connected
✓ The cabin is tucked in the woods, so you may see wildlife like deer and occasional insects—pretty normal for the area, especially during warmer months.
✓ We recommend using Google Maps instead of Apple Maps, as Apple Maps can be unreliable in this area of Broken Bow. We’ll also send clear arrival directions.
✓ Firewood isn’t always provided, so you may want to grab some locally for the fire pit. Please fully extinguish fires after use and clean the grill after grilling.
✓ Age requirement: The minimum age to book is 18. We kindly ask that no parties or events are held—any violations may result in immediate termination of the stay.
✓ Indoor Fireplace: Available for use from October 1 – March 31.
✓ Hot Tub Use: The hot tub is professionally cleaned between stays.
✓ Pet Policy: No limit on the number of pets!
