You will have the entire house and property to yourself.
You’ll be tucked into a quiet pocket of Hochatown where it’s mostly cabins spaced out among the pines, so it feels private and relaxed without being isolated. It’s a mix of vacation homes and other short-term rentals, so expect a steady flow of families and small groups rather than full-time residents. You’re close enough to easily pop over to spots like Pickle, Putt & Pour, local shops, and casual restaurants, but once you’re back at the cabin it’s peaceful—especially at night when things settle down. The area is generally considered safe and easygoing, with most activity centered around tourism rather than nightlife or heavy traffic.
Getting around is pretty straightforward, but you’ll definitely want a car. Hochatown isn’t very walkable overall, and there’s no real public transportation—everything is spread out just enough that driving is the easiest option. Most of the popular spots like Broken Bow Lake, Beavers Bend State Park, restaurants, and activities are just a short drive away, usually under 10–15 minutes. Parking is easy almost everywhere, and traffic is generally light aside from busy weekends or holidays. Ride shares can be limited or inconsistent, so it’s best to plan on having your own vehicle for the trip.
😎 What’s Broken Bow, OK all about?
Broken Bow (especially the Hochatown area) is one of those easy weekend getaway spots where everything revolves around the outdoors and slowing down a bit. Most people come for Broken Bow Lake and Beavers Bend State Park—think clear water, pine trees, hiking trails, and renting a boat or kayak for the day—but what makes it unique is how cabin culture is built into the experience. You’ll find a mix of laid-back breweries, wine spots, coffee shops, and casual restaurants tucked into the woods, plus fun extras like mini golf, maze attractions, and live music on weekends. It’s not a big city by any means, but that’s kind of the point—you come here to hang out with your group, cook, play games, and then venture out for a few hours before heading back to the cabin.

Nolan was a wonderful host. Very helpful with any questions and concerns. Communicated well and really seemed to care about our stay. The house was wonderful and fit our needs for 2 families 4 adults and 4 kids. The location was great, easy to find, and in a quiet neighborhood. Wonderful amenities and a wonderful stay. Would absolutely go back.
We had an amazing stay at Nolan’s cabin on Lost Dogwood Trail! It was the perfect home for our group of 9 spacious, clean, and comfortable with everything we needed. Being so close to Beavers Bend made it easy to hit the lake, hike, and check out the local attractions. Nolan was a great host and communication was smooth and quick throughout. Would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Broken Bow. Highly recommend for groups looking for a comfortable, well-located cabin!
House was great Nolan was super responsive and easy to communicate with. Overall was a great house and great location!
