You won’t find shops or restaurants within walking distance, but you’re only a short drive from Hochatown where all the action is—so it’s a nice balance of seclusion and convenience.

Getting around is pretty straightforward, but you’ll definitely want your own car—there’s no real public transportation in the area, and rideshares can be limited or inconsistent. Most places you’ll want to go, like restaurants, breweries, the lake, and hiking trails, are just a short drive away. Parking is easy almost everywhere, including at restaurants and attractions, and you won’t have to deal with traffic like in bigger tourist towns. It’s the kind of place where you head out for a bit during the day, then come back to the cabin to relax for the evening.

If you go off paved roads, I highly recommend you have a vehicle that can handle the terrain, 4x4 or AWD preferred.

The bad - As stated, mold in shower and tile grout in bathroom and shower was noticeably dirty.  Kitchen sink was dirty and still had old food particles from prior guest.  Cobwebs in ceiling.  Overall, they need a better housekeeping company.  

At the bottom of a VERY STEEP hill so it takes a little effort to walk out to your car or to street should you have mobility issues.  Driveway is stone and gravel, so NO wheelchairs or walkers." (8/5)
