In the southeast corner of Oklahoma, north of Broken Bow, you’ll find a little slice of heaven in McCurtain County among the majestic pine trees of the Ouachita Forest.

Float On is located approximately 10 miles North of Hochatown in the Timbuktu Trail area. A short drive to all of the local places to eat and fun things Hochatown has to offer.

Getting around here is pretty straightforward, but you’ll definitely want a car. Hochatown and Broken Bow are spread out, so driving is the easiest way to get to the lake, trails, and local spots like restaurants and wineries. There’s no real public transportation or rideshare presence, so it’s best to plan on having your own vehicle. Parking is usually easy almost everywhere you go, and most cabins have plenty of space on-site, so coming and going is hassle-free.

Broken Bow, OK (especially the Hochatown area) feels like one of those easy getaway spots where you can slow things down without getting bored. It’s all about cabins tucked in the pines, mornings with coffee on the deck, and afternoons spent at the lake or on a short hike. There’s a fun mix of low-key wineries, local restaurants, and a few quirky spots, but honestly most people come here to stay in, cook, relax, and enjoy the outdoors. It’s simple, scenic, and great for unplugging for a few days.
